Verde Terra v Central Coast Council 4 July 2023 Council Statement Following the NSW Court of Appeal judgment delivered on 2 June 2023 in the matter of Verde Terra v Central Coast Council, Council has been notified that Verde Terra (VT) has filed an application for special leave to appeal to the High Court of Australia.  At this stage, Council has not been served with the application, but intends to actively respond. Mangrove Mountain Landfill Update

Latest from Land and Environment Court Case 2023 The Court of Appeal judgment was delivered on 2nd June. The judge refused Verde Terra’s request not to have to put in a new Development Application. The critical outcome from the Court of Appeal judgment is that any new DA would be required to be accompanied by an Environmental Impact Statement. Our Association aims to represent our rural community on issues that affect residents as well as encouraging initiatives that enhance our environment and lifestyles. Annual General Meeting Our AGM was held on 8th March. Our chair read out her Presidents Report, and a summary of it is included in this Community News.
